5/11/2011 - A Typical Day for Congressman Allen...
Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, finishing up work in the U.S. House on the National Defense Authorization Act, leave at 2:30 A.M. Go to sleep sometime after 3 A.M. Wake up at 5:30 A.M. and jog 5 miles. Get ready for a live radio interview with WMAL Washington D.C. at 7 A.M. Complete the interview and prepare for another day of work.
An early mentor to me was U.S. Navy Seal Herb K. His self-confidence and courage was unmatched (until I met Congressman Allen West). Herb’s favorite quote:
“All right, they’re on our left, they’re on our right, they’re in front of us, they’re behind us…they can’t get away this time”
